I am incredibly grateful to be fully booked with commissions at the moment. Because capturing a true living likeness in soft pastels is a slow, patient process, I limit my calendar to ensure every piece gets my full focus.
If you are looking to honor a recently passed companion, or a loved one with a special occasion, please let me know on your form. I often hold an emergency slot open on my calendar to help families capture these memories when they need them most.

From Photo to Frame: My Creative Process
I want you to feel connected to your painting at every step. Here is how we will bring your portrait to life:

1
Connection & First Lines
We’ll start by chatting about your companion and looking through your favorite photos together to find the perfect reference. Once we choose the pose, I’ll draw an initial pencil sketch to map out the placement and ensure the composition feels just right before I touch the pastel paper.
2
Building the Portrait
I’ll keep you close to the easel with regular progress updates. During this stage, I lay in the soft tones of the background to set the mood, and then I focus on the portrait itself—using fine pastel layers to build up the depth of the coat and adding careful color and detail to bring those beautiful eyes to life.
3
Framing & Safe Travel
When the painting is complete and you’ve given your final approval, I will carefully frame the piece to protect the delicate pastels. Then, I wrap and package it securely so it travels safely from my studio to your door, ready to be loved for years to come.
