Privacy Policy

Your trust means everything to me. When you share your personal details, your family stories, and photos of your beloved companions with me, you’re welcoming me into a very personal part of your life. I take that responsibility seriously.

This Privacy Policy explains how I collect, use, and protect your information when you visit my website, reach out to inquire about my work, or commission a custom painting.

The Information I Collect

To create a custom painting of your pet or process an order, I need to collect a few specific pieces of information. This includes:

  • Contact Details: Your name, email address, phone number, and shipping address. I need these so we can chat about your painting and so I can send the finished piece safely to your door.

  • Pet Details & Reference Photos: The names, breeds, personalities, and photographs of the companions you want me to paint. I know how precious these photos are, and I treat them with the utmost care.

  • Payment Information: When you pay your deposit or final balance, your transaction is processed securely through trusted, third-party payment gateways (like Stripe or PayPal). I never see, store, or have access to your credit card numbers or banking details.

  • Website Usage Data: Like most websites, my site collects some basic, anonymous information automatically through cookies. This includes things like your IP address, browser type, and which pages you visit, which simply helps me understand how people use my site so I can make it better.

2

How I Use Your Information

I only use the details you share with me for very specific, essential purposes. I’ll use your information to:

  • Chat with you about your commission and plan the composition of your painting.

  • Send you text or email updates showing my progress while your painting is on the easel.

  • Pack and ship your finished painting securely via a trusted courier service.

  • Send you billing invoices and process your payments safely.

  • Answer any questions you send my way through my contact form.

I will never sell, lease, or rent your personal information, photos, or email address to anyone. Period.

3

Sharing Your Information

I only share your details with a small handful of trusted partners when it is absolutely necessary to get your painting to you. These include:

  • Delivery Services: I share your shipping address and phone number with reliable courier services (such as UPS, FedEx, or USPS) so they can deliver your package and send you tracking updates.

  • Payment Processors: Your payment information is sent directly to secure billing platforms to safely process your deposit and final balance.

  • Web Hosting & Tools: My website platform and contact forms securely store your inquiries so that I can read and respond to your messages.

4

Protecting Your Reference Photos and Stories

The photographs you send me of your subjects are the heart of my work.

  • Digital Security: I store your digital photos on a secure, password-protected device while I work on your painting.

  • Social Media & Portfolios: I love sharing my process and showing finished pieces to other pet lovers. I may post photos of your completed painting, alongside a brief story or your sweet testimonial, in my online gallery or on my social media pages. If your painting is a surprise gift, I will always wait until after you have gifted it to post anything. If you prefer to keep your painting completely private, just let me know upfront and I will gladly respect your wishes.

5

Cookies & Tracking

My website uses small text files called "cookies" to make your browsing experience smoother. Cookies help the site remember if you’ve visited before, keep track of items in your cart, and show me which pages are most helpful to my visitors. You can choose to turn off cookies in your internet browser settings at any time, though it might affect how some parts of the website work.

6

Keeping Your Memories Safe (Data Retention)

I keep your contact information and emails on file so I can refer back to our conversations if you ever want to commission another painting in the future. However, if you would like me to delete your emails, reference photos, or shipping details from my system once your painting is safely on your wall, just send me a quick note. I’ll be happy to remove them immediately.

7

Your Rights

You are always in control of your data. At any time, you can reach out to me to:

  • Ask for a copy of the personal information I have on file for you.

  • Ask me to correct or update any outdated details (like a change of address).

  • Request that I delete your personal information and reference photos from my database.

Updates to This Policy

Every now and then, I may need to update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in how my studio operates or to comply with new privacy laws. When I do, I’ll update the date at the top of this page.
