Morgan

Morgan is a gentle, sweet, and loving soul, and this 8x10 drawing was a wonderful commission that came to me through a recommendation. The original photo was covered in deep shadows, which made it tricky to pull out the subtle highlights of his silky coat. To build depth without losing the natural shape, I layered multiple shades of warm browns and clean whites to create soft contrast in his fur. Of course, my ultimate goal was to capture those big, precious eyes and the expressive look that his family knows so well. It was incredibly rewarding to hear how pleased they were to see that dear, familiar gaze brought to life on the paper.
