Angie

Angie, a cocker spaniel, was such a charming old girl, and I loved creating this 8x10 memorial for a co-worker to give to her mother-in-law. The original photo had some deep, tricky shadows, and I was asked to tidy up the scene by leaving out a stray bag that was sitting near her leg. My main goal was to capture that sweet, contented expression she had while basking in the sun. I used the natural colors from the photo to make sure it felt real and familiar on the Strathmore paper. I sent progress texts throughout the process, and I'm so glad the family felt I caught the heart of the sweet girl they miss so much.
